KaBria Arnold, 20, was found shot dead on Sunday night near Pilgrim and Bentler on Detroit’s west side, according to Fox 2 Detroit.
KaBria was a student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, studying to become a registered nurse. She was also a former pitcher and infielder on the school’s softball team.
Madelin Skene, KaBria’s former teammate, told the Michigan Journal that KaBria was “a beautiful soul.”
“She was someone who always wanted to know how you were doing and knew how to make light of anything,” Skene said. “She was one of those teammates that knew how to cheer you up.”
Kabria’s sister Tiffany told Local 4 News, “I still can’t believe it’s happening.”
According to a GoFundMe page that has been set up, KaBria was a “genuinely loving, bubbly, giving, beautiful spirit with a bright future ahead of her.”
Detroit police have not yet identified her killer. If you have any information, please call Detroit police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
In loving memory of KaBria Arnold.
